<I'm in the game center 'Babel.' This place is like a
second home to me.
I guess I'll play Virtual Ninja two again.
I haven't been back since that girl kicked my ass at the
game last time.
People have started calling me Babel Saizo because I
always play with the same character.
But it doesn't mean anything if I can't beat that girl
next time I see her.
I wonder if I'll ever play that girl again...


There's a Virtual Ninja II game here.
I must be making a name for myself, too. A lot of people
want to play against me.
It's a better way to get good at the game than playing
against the computer.
I head for the Virtual Ninja game machine.



It's the girl they call Master Hondala. She's really good
at this game.
........I'm not sure what her name is.
Oh well. I can ask her later.I choose the character named 'Saizo.'
He's not very fast. The first time I played with him, I
said to myself, is this the way a Ninja moves?
But he's powerful, and that's what made him my favorite
character.
He's actually a good character for beginners because some
of his attacks are very straightforward.
Okay, well, time to get on with the game. My first opponent
is...Hondala.
They call that girl Master Hondala got her nickname from
her expert use of this character.
But this time it's the computer controlling Hondala, so
it's no challenge for me
I'll crush her!

A CHALLENGER HAS APPEARED
Someone wants to fight me. I wonder who it is.
I can't see who it is because they're on the other side
of the game machine, hidden from me.
The character my opponent chooses is...'Basho.'
He's strong. He's got a silly name, but he's really powerful.
He might even be slightly stronger than the boss at the
end of the game.
He's a character so strong that even beginners can win with
him.
People who play in tournaments are forbidden to use this
character.
.............And now someone is challenging me with this
character.

Suddenly I see a face I recognize peer at me from around
the game machine.

I still lost.
She did her best to cheer me up. We promised to have a
